Terrain: Flat and wet

Weather: A little overcast but not too chilly, ideal for rowing.

Notes: Not really a walk as we were paddling a canadian canoe, but I wanted to record it somewhere.

Buttermere

Distance: 4.52 Miles

Pubs: The Fish Hotel - Buttermere - Lake District

Walkers: Timmeh, Loz, Dee, Dave, Hazel

Terrain: Lakeside, surrounded by fells, waterfalls.

Weather: A little overcast but not too chilly, ideal for walking.

Notes: Nice little walk and very flat for this area.

Southease - Rodmell - Glynde

Distance: 6.3 Miles

Pubs: The Abergavenny Arms - Rodmell, The Trevor Arms - Glynde

Walkers: Timmeh, Loz, Susi.

Terrain: A bit of road, The south downs way.

Weather: Way too hot and sunny for walking on exposed downland.

Notes: Red Lion Pond is more of a dry ditch these days. Saw a kestrel and a few bunnies.

Lewes - Ringmer - Lewes

Distance: 8.8 Miles

Pubs: The Cock Inn - Ringmer, The Dorset Arms - Lewes

Walkers: Timmeh, Loz, Kate.

Terrain: Too much road, due to a track having a big impassable gate across it, but a few nice bits of countryside.

Weather: cloudy with enough sunny spells for me to get burnt.

Notes: We love The Cock!

The Big One - Day 4 - Keymer to Brighton

Distance: 8.49 Miles

Pubs: The Black Lion - Brighton, The Station - Brighton, The Engineer - Brighton, The Caroline of Brunswick - Brighton, The Hobgoblin - Brighton, The Caroline of Brunswick - Brighton (again)

Walkers: Timmeh, Matty, Moo. + Jon, Dave from the Black Lion and loads of others from the CazBar.

Terrain: Up the downs, along the downs, down the downs, Brighton roads.

Weather: Very Rainy, a bit rainy, really rainy

Notes: Never ever bloody anything ever!

The Big One - Day 3 - Stonelands to Keymer

Distance: 13.8 Miles

Pubs: The Ardingly Inn - Ardingly, The Red Lion - Lindfield, The Fox and Hounds - Sandrocks, The Greyhound - Keymer

Terrain: Rainforest ;), Field, Road

Weather: Rainy and warm, sunny spells

The Big One - Day 2 - Horley to Stonelands

Distance: 9.49 Miles

Pubs: The Shipley Bridge Inn - Shipley Bridge, The Prince Albert - Copthorne, The Crown - Turner's Hill, The White Hart - Stonelands

Terrain: Country Road, Fields.

Weather: Overcast and warm, sunny spells

Notes: Never ever bloody ever walk long distances on road, with a heavy pack, in boots designed for country walking and then walk another ten miles the next day.

Weather: Overcast and warm, showery spells
