Terrain: Lakeside, surrounded by fells, waterfalls.
Weather: A little overcast but not too chilly, ideal for walking.
Notes: Nice little walk and very flat for this area.

Ha, we also did exactly the same walk when we went up to the Lakes a couple of weeks later... it is indeed a nice little stroll, nice views and an easy walk, and there's decent beer at the pub too. One of the highlights was the number of silly dogs running about and having a good time in the lake, and we also managed to gather up a few pocketfuls of acorns to feed to the squirrels back home...
